RELATIONSHIPS between different areas of health behaviour - socio-economic factors, health status, and functional capacity - were studied among people aged between 65 and 74 in eastern Finland. Some relationships between different areas of health behaviour were found, and some unhealthy behaviours were associated with each other. But, as a whole, elderly people behaving negatively in one area of health did not necessarily act negatively in other areas.
