Abstract
This study investigated stress and its relationship to educators and Public Law 94-142. The results clearly imply that (a) many aspects of the law are creating stress for educators; (b) clear role expectations and frequency of P.L. 94-142 compliance by a school system can be stress factors; and (c) there are various stress conditions related to the law that are impinging on educators. Results are discussed in terms of the prevention and remediation strategies school systems, administrators, and personnel can take to alleviate some of the stress.
