The Educational Resources Information Center system provides access to a wide variety of information concerned with education. The process of acquiring, selecting, retrieving, and disseminating documents is described. The user services and publishing activities provided by the 16 ERIC clearinghouses and their capabilities for computer searching are summarized. Changes and improvements in the system are reviewed as well as plans for future expansion.
