Abstract
Several announcements have been made recently by the U. S. Department of Health, Eduction, and Welfare regarding research that has been approved dealing with the problems of exceptional children. While a large amount of the research has to do with mentally retarded children, due to earmarked funds, research is also being carried out in some of the other fields of exceptional children. The following is a brief description of some of the research in progress. It is anticipated that a more complete and comprehensive listing of projects will be included in this section from time to time.
