Transoral thyroid and parathyroid surgery through the vestibular approach represent the most recent approach to the central neck. Although each has its limitations, experienced operators have demonstrated effective outcomes with safety profiles that approximate that of open procedures. Herein, we demonstrate a case, review modifications of the original technique, and highlight outcomes in the institutional experience of an academic medical center in the United States.
