Abstract
Patch testing is an effective and accurate bioassay for the detection of contact sensitization and the only practical way to verify allergic contact dermatitis. The presentation of contact allergens with the patch test method is still not optimal because of technical problems. This report reviews some of these problems and suggests how they can be solved to improve the method.
