Abstract
Wilkinson, in two reports of connubial photodermatitis, emphasized the caveat of not neglecting a spouse when seeking solutions to confusing cases of contact dermatitis. A case report involving connubial contact dermatitis to thimerosal-containing contact lens solution is reported, and his evaluation with patch tests proving thimeroslal sensitivity is noted. Review of the literature in regards to connubial and consort dermatitis is provided and emphaiszes the importance of considering a patient's personal relationships as potential sources of contactants in puzzling cases of contact dermatitis.
