Abstract
The popular tree, Grevillea robusta, is planted throughout California for shade and decoration. The heartwood, which is durable and light-colored, can be used for decorative boxes, bracelets, etc. The allergen, present in the heartwood, is closely related to poison ivy and poison oak.
