Abstract
A case of cutaneous lupus erythematosus associated with the welder's arc is presented. The possibility of an occupational photodermatitis such as lupus erythematosus or polymorphous light eruption should be considered in welders with recalcitrant facial derma- titis. It is important to counsel patients to change their occupation if possible to avoid continued exposure to intense ultraviolet radiation and exacerbation of their problem.
