THERE is a clear correlation between poor housing and poor health. What is not clear is how far poor housing conditions might be a direct cause of poor health and how far health education might improve levels of health where housing conditions appear to be a cause of ill-health.

THIS somewhat unusual problem can be considered under several headings. First of all, the nature of Health Education itself needs careful examination and clarification. What is meant by 'Health Education' ? Is Health Education synonymous with 'Sex Education', as some people seem to think ? Or is Health Education no more than knowledge of 'hygiene'?
