Abstract
The Government of India seconded experts in various disciplines under its Agricultural Development Project (ADP) to study research activities in agricultural production in Senegal. This paper deals with the part of their report related to food crops. Proposals for modifications to food research programmes included the breeding of suitable region-specific crop varieties and the introduction of Indian varieties of food crops into the country. Emphasis was also given to the strengthening of seed-production programmes.
