This issue of cardionephrology is based on report from 1^st Meeting of Cardionephrology Study Group held in Rome last April 2013.

Meeting was characterized by multiple multidisciplinary sessions on heart failure, vascular calcifications, Fabry's disease and Amiloidosis and final session on new frontiers in the field of hypertension and ischemic heart disease in chronic kidney disease patients.

Meeting was also enriched by lectures on acute coronary syndrome, cardiovascular imaging and linkage between nephrological and cardiological practice.
