Abstract
Jennifer Creek, who retired in summer 2009, made an outstanding scholarly contribution to occupational therapy, encompassing many different aspects. The relationship between theory and practice was the focus for her work. Her belief in the potential of occupational therapy inspired her efforts to understand it. While her contribution has been unbelievable in scope, it has credibility and authenticity for practice, research and education. She has been concerned with modelling possibilities, not models of practice, indicating a profound professional artistry. Occupational therapists should engage with her work as a key resource for their own practice and the development of the profession.
