Abstract
The Competence Scale for Children and Adolescents (CCA) is an ICF based rating scale which aims to assess activity limitations of children and adolescents across different disorders. The CCA was administered to 203 healthy children (6–15 years old) and their parents. A Rasch analysis with data from 172 children was performed indicating that the items of CCA measure a single construct and exhibit a good separation (2.28 for self-reports and 3.00 for parent-reports) and reliability (0.86 for self-reports and 0.90 for parent-reports). The person separation (1.13 for self-reports and 1.2 for parent-reports) and person reliability (0.56 for self- and 0.59 for parentreports) was low indicating ceiling effects. The CCA displayed a high interrater reliability (ICC = 0.91). Although the CCA still needs some improvement (e. g., addition of items with higher difficulties) preliminary psychometric data are encouraging.
