Abstract
Many employees may be working in environments with potential risks and may not know how to respond appropriately to these risks, therefore the need for safety-skills training is critical. However, limited information is available on the extent to which supported employees receive such training. The purpose of this investigation was to identify the type of safety-skills training provided to a sample of supported employees. The findings revealed that the majority of employees received training, but the content and format of the training varied. The results are discussed in terms of providing appropriate safety-skills training to supported employees.
