Abstract
In order to reduce cell lysis voltage and the cost of crushing cell experiments, and increase the security of crushing cell experiments, this paper proposes a novel design project of low voltage cell lysis instrument. In this project, the microprocessor controls the output signal waveform with the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) modulation technology. This article introduces the methods in detail, which adjust the signal amplitude and output PWM waveform. Experimental results demonstrated that it could break cells under much lower voltage than that applied by traditional methods, and the cell lysis was achieved successfully under the 4.67 V square wave pulse signal. In addition, compared with the existing cell lysis instruments which the voltage of the broken cell is kilo-volt, it has many advantages such as high precision (minimum amplitude adjusted in steps of 0.01 V), low voltage (the cracking voltage is in the volt level), safe operation, etc.
