Abstract
In this paper, we introduce the three-dimensional finite element method (3-D FEM) taking into account the Δ-connected circuit for obtaining the induced voltages of the three-phase motor. We calculate the induced voltage of interior permanent magnet (IPM) motor taking into account the Y- or the Δ-connected circuit of motors using the proposed method. The effects of the connection on the induced voltage are numerically analyzed. The validity of our method is clarified by comparing the calculated results and measured ones.
