Abstract
Based on the expected value of a fuzzy variable, the expected value of function of a fuzzy variable is studied. A fuzzy expected value model is solved by an intelligent algorithm mixed integral sum approximation and genetic algorithm. As applications of results derived, a merchandize apportionment problem is investigated.
