Moebius Syndrome: A Case Study

Abstract

This is a case presentation of a six year old girl presenting with Moebius Syndrome. She was first seen by a Speech Therapist as a routine screening session in a Preschool, when she was three years old.

Following this she underwent numerous investigations and her diagnosis of Moebius Syndrome was confirmed, in December 1990 (C.Age 5.11 years.). Because of the nature of the syndrome, her communication difficulties are complex and the Speech and Language Therapist has a very important role to play in management.
