Abstract
A novel fluorescent sensor, 2-(2-(1,4-dioxa-7,13-dithia-10-azacyclopentadecan-10-yl) ethyl)-3’,6'-bis(diethylamino)spiro [isoindoline-1,9'-xanthen]-3-one, has been synthesised and shows high selectivity for monitoring Hg2+ ion in ethanol solution.
