Abstract
An improved multicomponent reaction of cyclohexyl isocyanide is described. The reaction between two equivalents of an aldehydes, cyclohexyl isocyanide and cyanoacetic acid at room temperature leads to methyl 2-cyano-3-(aryl)-cyclohexylcarbamoyl-(aryl)-acrylate in good yields.
