Abstract
An X-ray structure investigation of 2,6-bis (thiomorpholino)-p-cresol has been performed. The two thiomorpholino-groups have adopted the chair conformation and the cresol ring has deviated from planarity. The Willgerodt–Kindler reaction has been used to prepare this prospective ligand, having O, N and S donor sites, in a one pot synthesis.
