Abstract
The binucleating, tetradentate Schiff base ligand (H2L) has been synthesised by condensation of bis-(4-aminophenyl)-methane with salicyladehyde. The resulting metal(II) complexes [metal = Mn||, Ni||, Co||, Cu|| and Zn||] have been characterised by elemental analyses, molar conductances, magnetic moment, IR, UV-vis spectra, thermal analyses (DTA and TGA) and ESR spectra.
