Abstract
Six pyridine derivatives were synthesised by one-step reaction of malononitrile with 2,5-bisarylidenecyclopentanones or 2,6-bisarylidenecyclohexanones in methanol / sodium hydroxide under microwave irradiation in 75~92% yields.
