Abstract
Summary
(1) Lipide analyses of cellular fractions in liver necrosis produced by the administration of bromobenzene was studied in the rat. (2) A statistically significant decrease occurred in the total lipide, lecithin and cephalin phosphorus in the homogenate fraction of the necrotic livers as compared to the controls. However, the total cholesterol content was significantly increased. (3) In the nuclei of the necrotic livers a decrease in the concentration of the lecithin phosphorus and an increase of total cholesterol were noted.
