Abstract
Summary
The renal tubular excretion of PAH in the rat is inhibited by the in vivo administration of sodium malonate or antimycin A. The data here presented, when correlated with the results of other investigators, strongly suggest succinate oxidation can provide an in vivo source of energy for that renal mechanism which is responsible for the tubular excretion of PAH.
