Summary
Mice were exposed to cold (5°C) for periods of 15 minutes and 5 days and the effect on erythrocyte number, hemoglobin concentration and blood sugar level determined. The only significant change occurred in the blood sugar level during the short period of cold exposure. Statistically this change had a P value of <.001. Possible physiological changes are discussed.
