Abstract
Summary
1. The survival rate of rats, exposed to lethal x-ray dosage, was found to be significantly increased after pretreatment with serotonin creatine sulfate (20 mg/kg) or para-aminopropiophenone (32 mg or 16 mg/kg). 2. The protective effect of these agents is assumed to be due to their property of producing a temporary tissue anoxia.
