Summary
Using Conway's micro-diffusion technic, urea plus ammonia determinations can be made with 1 ml or less of saliva. Sufficient saliva for duplicate analyses can be collected in a few minutes without artificial stimulation. Saliva collected in this way gives reproducible values in the same individual.
