Summary
A method is described for the detection of virus infection of the allantoic sac of the chick embryo. The method is dependent upon the increased concentration of protein in infected allantoic fluid. Protein concentration is measured by determining the degree of turbidity produced upon the addition of 10% trichloracetic acid to allantoic fluid.
