Summary
Thirty-three adult, healthy, male gold hamsters (Cricetus auratus) were used. Hematological data were obtained from the blood drawn by heart puncture before castration, and in 2 instances after castration. Castration failed to induce significant changes in the blood picture of 23 adult male hamsters.
