Abstract
Conclusion
1(—)-Tyrosine when fed to rats starved 48 hours produces an increase in liver glycogen. This is in marked contrast to the result obtained when dl-tyrosine is fed. The urine from rats fed 1(—)-tyrosine caused a reduction of ammonium phosphomolybdate. Under similar experimental conditions dl-tyrosine caused no such reduction.
