Abstract
Summary
We have provided evidence that the sites of urate and phosphate reabsorption exist at the luminal cell membrane. This was accomplished by the determination of mean glomerulus to ureter transit times for both compounds in the absence and presence of inhibitors of their reabsorption.
We gratefully acknowledge the assistance of Mr. Clive Pullinger and Mrs. Sheila Blanck. This research was supported by NIH Grants 5P10 ES-00159 and HE-10346.
