Abstract
Summary
Changes in the rat plasma concentration of cholesterol were effected by lecithin infusion, biliary obstruction, clofibrate administration, and by induction of hypothyroidism. The extent of incorporation of 32P into hepatic phospholipid was altered (i.e., decreased) in only those rats subjected to lecithin infusion. However, changes in the plasma content of labeled phospholipid were observed only in those animals subjected to biliary obstruction (increase) or clofibrate (decrease) administration.
