Abstract
Summary
The acute effects of intravenously administered AmB were studied in 19 dogs during a water diuresis and antidi-uresis. The decrease in CH2O cannot entirely be due to the decrease in GFR. T c H2O/ C osm was unaltered, suggesting that the drug acts on the late distal tubule. The acute tubular effects may be due to alterations in tubular reabsorption of sodium and membrane permeability to water.
