Abstract
Conclusion
14C-inulin clearance was determined in mice and found to be remarkably reproducible from animal to animal.
14C-inulin clearance observations are valid indicators of glomerular function when simultaneously administered with other radioactively labeled pharmaceuticals. The reproducibility of 14C-inulin clearances in mice and the opportunity for testing relatively large numbers of animals offers promise that the clearance of radiopharmaceuticals may be evaluated in sequence, making this technique a potentially valuable bioassay for radiopharmaceuticals.
