Abstract
Summary
The addition of Mg ions to bone homogenates stimulated pyrophosphatase activity in the absence of F ions, but inhibited pyrophosphatase activity in the presence of F ions. However, femur pyrophosphatase levels were increased in chicks fed diets containing high levels of both Mg and F for 3 or 6 days as compared with chicks fed diets containing identical levels of either element alone.
