Summary
The effect of thyrocalcitonin on calcium transport in the rat duodenum was investigated in acute studies by an in vivo perfusion method. Absorption and lumen-to-plasma flux were slightly decreased in the thyrocalcitonin treated animals, but the differences were not statistically significant.
