Summary
The MPS composition of normal and lathyritic rat skins has been studied. Determination of the total hexosamine content, chromatographic separation of glucosamine and galactosamine, extraction and purification of the MPS, identification through analysis of their components did not demonstrate any difference in the MPS composition between normal and lathyritic skin.
