Abstract
Summary
Renal blood flow, glomerular filtration rate, and urine flow were measured before and after intravenous administration of insulin. Contrary to a previously published report, renal blood flow and glomerular filtration rate did not change though blood sugar levels fell to 30% of control levels. There was a slight, but probably significant, increase in urine flow following administration of insulin.
