Summary
A single subcutaneous injection of 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene in tricaprylin was given in the interscapular region to newborn Syrian golden hamsters. Doses of 1000, 200 and 100 μg were administered and tricaprylin treated and untreated controls were also observed. The induction of subcutaneous sarcomas and of dermal melanocytomas was obtained. In addition, a slight acceleration of the appearance of malignant lymphomas was found.
