Summary
Diffuse fatty infiltration of all liver lobes was found in cats given carbon tetrachloride intramuscularly. A statistically significant reduction in degree of fatty infiltration was found when the cats were also given injections of a protein-free aqueous fraction of liver. The nature of the lipotropic action is unknown.
