Using scale items taken from Wright and Larwood's 1997 original research on the cosmopolitan-local latent role construct, Desrochers and Dahir recently proposed the Career Advancement Ambition, Organizational Commitment, and Professional Commitment Scales. Desrochers and Dahir's new scales raise serious issues regarding scale validity and item integrity for their measures.
