Capture-recapture methods can be valuable tools for psychological research; however, many textbooks on psychological methods, statistics, and sampling either do not include capture-recapture methods or present biased or inefficient estimators. In this paper, unbiased capture-recapture estimators are provided for both direct and inverse sampling without replacement.
