The responses to a retrospective opinionnaire concerning school environment by 63 students and 4 teachers were contrasted. Of 16 items 13 showed significant associations. A 67% exact response-match was observed together with an average correlation between students' and teachers' responses of .31. The data were interpreted as supporting the validity of the retrospective method.
