An analysis of changes in performance norms of school athletic teams from mid- to postseason was carried out on scores of 805 athletes belonging to 50 teams in Japan. Groups with high performance norms at midseason showed little change at postseason, whereas groups with low performance norms during midseason declined further at postseason.
