This study supports the predictive validity of the Physical Fitness Opinion Questionnaire, employing specific scales of physical fitness locus of control, expectancy of reinforcement, value of specific reinforcement combined with a physical fitness self-efficacy measure, in marathon performance by 113 runners, 20 to 58 years old.
