Abstract
We were distressed by the decision, made by the American Psychological Association in 1987, not to carry abstracts of nonEnglish articles in Psychological Abstracts. To make, in our eyes, the matter still worse, the frequency of such abstracts in the APA electronic database (PsycLIT) began to decrease, as we reported in 1989, and reached a vanishing point in 1989. Thanks to Gary R. VandenBos we became aware of the reemergence of nonEnglish abstracts in the system. The present data are based on the CDs (PsycLIT on Silver Platter) available in April 1991.
