The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between teachers' skills in three volleyball actions and students' learning of those maneuvers. Nine teachers and 222 students were examined over a 3-wk. volleyball unit during the fall of 1989. No relationship between the teachers' skills and students' learning was observed. Suggestions for research are provided.
