Abstract
30 male and 36 female undergraduates completed the Attitude to Women Managers Scale, indicating their own views and how they felt members of the opposite sex would respond to the scale. Women had significantly more positive attitudes than men. Women's attitudes were significantly more positive than men felt they would be. However, men's attitudes were not as negative as women expected them to be. The results suggest that men and women misperceive each others' attitudes and that this is not improving women's efforts to enter managerial ranks.
